medcom.id, Jakarta: Around 100 refugees staged a demonstration in front of the UNHCR office in Jakarta on Wednesday.
"We demand resettlement," one refugee said.
There are around 14 thousand refugees in Indonesia. They are mostly from Iraq, Yemen, Afghanistan, Sudan, Somalia and Myanmar.
"We have rights. We have families," the refugee mentioned.
Indonesia is not a resettlement country. It is not a party of the Refugee Convention.
