King Salman Visits Istiqlal Mosque

medcom.id, Jakarta: Saudi Arabia's King Salman visited Istiqlal mosque in Central Jakarta on Thursday, March 2, 2017,
 
He was received by President Joko Widodo. He was also welcomed by Indonesian Muslim leaders.
 
Istiqlal Mosque is the national mosque of Indonesia. It is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia.

The mosque was initiated by President Sukarno. It was opened in February 1978.
 
King Salman will visit Indonesia until March 9. He will visit Jakarta from March 1-4. He then will visit Bali from March 5-9.
