medcom.id, Jakarta: The Philippine government handed over three Indonesian hostages to the Indonesian government on Monday (9/19).
The hostages were rescued last week. They are Lorence Koten (34), Theodorus Kopong (42) and Emanuel (40).
"Indonesian Ambassador Johny Lumintang officially received the three hostages," said press release from the Indonesian Embassy received on Tuesday (9/20).
"The three hostages will undergo health examination and trauma healing treatment," the press release continued.
The hostages were kidnapped by Abu Sayyaf militants in Lahad Datu, Sabah, Malaysia on July 9, 2016. They were held hostage in the southern Philippines.
