Jokowi Discusses Trade, Renewable Energy with New Zealand PM

medcom.id, Jakarta: President Joko Widodo welcomed New Zealand Prime Minister John Key at the Freedom Palace in Jakarta on Monday (17/8) afternoon.
 
The two leaders discussed wide range of cooperation during the bilateral meeting. New Zealand is interested to develop dairy industry in Indonesia.
 
"We are going to be dairy industry center in Southeast Asia," He said after the meeting.

New Zealand is also committed to support renewable energy sector in Indonesia. It is one the leading countries on renewable energy technology.
 
"Geothermal is the priority. We will also increase cooperation on hydropower," he continued.
 
Trade between the two countries reached USD1.03 billion in 2015. The Indonesian government aims to triple the trade volume in 2024.
