medcom.id, Jakarta: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Soukry praised Indonesia's role as host for Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Extraordinary Summit on Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif.
"It is very helpful for Palestine. It is fully supported by Egypt. We hope for best outcomes," Soukry said on the sidelines of OIC Extraordinary Summit, Jakarta, Sunday (3/6/2016).
Soukry met with Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi on the sidelines of the summit. Both countries agreed to strengthen cooperation in politics and economy.
In the meeting, Retno also praised Egypt for cooperation in education and religion sectors. Recently, Egypt increased quota of Indonesian students in the country.
"Once again, Egpyt appreciated Indonesia's role in this summit. We hope it will be successful," Soukry concluded.
