Jakarta : Shopee keeps showing support to the Indonesian Health Ministry in realizing the vaccination target of over 180 million citizens.
One of the efforts done is by providing 3,600 doses of covid-19 vaccine to residnts in Jakarta and its surrounding areas.
Seeing the current covid-19 wave in Indonesia, Shopee Indonesia Director Handhika Jahja revealed that Shopee supports the government’s initiative and target, especially the Health Ministry by
giving vaccine to Jakarta and its surrounding areas.
"This initiative is a form of our commitment as part of the private sector," said Handhika in a written statement on Thursday.
Shopee's free vaccine initiative, held at Artha Gading Mall, has opened public registration through Shopee application for those who want to receive the first dose starting from July 8 to August 2.
The first dose was given at July 21-August 3 , while the second dose was given on August 18-31.
“Other than aiding the acceleration of vaccine target realization in Indonesia by the end of 2021, Shopee also urges Indonesian citizens, especially Shopee users, to keep implementing the health protocols," Handikha concluded. (Translator: Natasha Celia)
