Jakarta: According to a research conducted by Consumer Insight Nielsen Singapura titled ‘Understanding Indonesia’s Online Food Delivery Market’, the Indonesian food delivery service Go-Food, which is owned by Gojek Indonesia, has market share of 75 percent.
“This achievement has proven that consumer’s trust and loyalty towards technological innovations and initiatives brought about by Go-Food for four straight years are higher than expected,” Gojek Food Chief Officer, Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo, said here on Friday, September 20, 2019.
The research was conducted on seven cities namely Greater Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Balikpapan, Medan and Makassar.
Nielsen used and online survey method and involved as many as 1,000 users. It asked about their opinions about four food delivery service mobile applications in Indonesia.
From the research result, 84 percent of users who use more than one food delivery mobile applications admitted that Go-Food provides the best food delivery services in Indonesia. It is higher than the industrial average of 39%.
Besides that, 87 percent of urban consumers said that Go-Food offers the best variety of menu. It is far above the respective industrial average of 46%.
