Managing Director of Grab Indonesia, Ridzki Kramadibrata, denied that his company did not pay any tax, let alone illegal. He reaffirmed that Grab Indonesia does not have any (taxi) armada.
"We are not an operator of transportation services. We do not own vehicles or any kind of armada," said Ridzki in a press statement to Metrotvnews.com, Wednesday (3/16/2016).
Grab Indonesia is cooperating with individuals to provide the GrabTaxi, GrabCar, GrabBike and GrabExpress services to customers. According to Ridzki,so far his party did not breach any laws.
"Grab is a technology company connecting drivers and passengers," he explained.
However, Ridzki continued, the presence of GrabCar and Uber Taxi may assist the public in acquiring extra income. Moreover with the fact of limited employment at the present time.
"Our technology allows drivers to earn better income more efficiently The presence of Grab has also opened more employment opportunities and have increased the quality of lives of its driver partners and local residents," he revealed.
Ridzki elaborated that recently, Grab Indonesia has also assisted the families of the driver partners. Grab Indonesia held the Grabschool to guarantee education for the families of their partners.
"We have held the GrabSchool program, with intentions to provide skills for the children of Grab drivers and direct them to more career choices," he concluded.
