medcom.id, Jakarta: Google Maps and Transjakarta introduced new feature called Transit today. The feature enables Goole Maps users to monitor Transjakarta buses in real time.
"It will help Jakartans to plan their daily commute," said Google Maps director Suren Ruhela.
Users could also use the feature to find the nearest Transjakarta bus stop and calculate travelling time to their destination.
Suren explained Transjakarta provides the data for the feature. His team then visualize the data so it can be easily understood by the users.
Google Maps plans to cooperate with other transportation operators in Jakarta to improve the feature.
