"This should be a priority for the safety and defense of the nation," Vice Chairman of Commission I Hanafi Rais said at the Parliament's Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (6/17/2015).
The knowledge and ability to optimize information technology (IT), according to the PAN politician will be questioned during the fit and proper test of the National Intelligence Agency (BIN) Chief. There are lots of cases in the world showing that a serious threat against national security may come from a set of laptop.
"For that reason, Bang Yos should be capable to optimize IT completely," explained the son of former Consultative Assembly Speaker Amien Rais.
The coordination between intelligence agencies is also the material to be questioned to Bang Yos. A chain of terror acts which had occurred was the evidence of the weak coordination between the Police and Military intelligence on the field.
"BIN does not stand alone, but interconnected with the Military and National Police intelligence, Ministries and other institutions. BIN is the main axis, which have different organization, different bureaucracy, as well as different culture of people," Hanafi elaborated. (Eps)
