Suci Sedya Utami • 23 November 2016 20:21
medcom.id, Jakarta: The Tax Directorate General and Google are committed to reach tax settlement this year.

Jakarta Special Tax Office head Muhammad Haniv said Google will not pay tax fines if they can reach tax settlement.

"We will forget the tax fines. There will be no tax fines," said Haniv in Jakarta on Wednesday (11/23).

"We need each other. Indonesia needs Google. Google needs our market and our internet users," he continued.

Previously, Google refused to start tax negotiation. However, the company then agreed to discuss tax settlement.
