medcom.id, Jakarta: Even though it is not yet officially launched in Indonesia, Pokemon Go has become a phenomenon in the country.
The National Police has asked Pokemon Go players to be alert with their surroundings.
"The activity is conducted in public space, so they should be careful," said National Police spokesperson Insp. Gen. Boy Rafli Amar in Jakarta, on Thursday (7/14/2016).
Pokemon Go is developed by Niantic, Nintendo and the Pokemon company. The game uses augmented reality technology where it combines reality and virtual world. The players can see pokemons in their surroundings through their mobile phones.
Boy underlined that the players must consider about safety. They should not cause harm to themselves or other people.
"Sure, if it is causing harm, it could be reported," he stated
