medcom.id, Jakarta: The Communication and Information Ministry will monitor media sites that spread hoaxes.
The ministry will evaluate online media in Indonesia. The ministry will cooperate with the Indonesian Press Council.
"We have contacted the Indonesian Press Council," Communication and Information Minister Rudiantara said here on Thursday (12/29).
"The two institutions have similar concerns," Rudiantara continued.
There are thousands of online media in Indonesia. However, only few online media implement journalism code of ethics.
