Meanwhile, technology industry currently is growing rapidly, including the e-commerce industry. Agriculture sector is still trailing behind others in this regard.
Indonesian entrepreneur, Tantyo Bangun, wants to change the condition. Together with his colleagues, he created e-commerce site for local organic products named Kecipir.com.
The idea to create kecipir.com emerged when Tantyo and his collagues observed that most local organic farmers have difficulties to sell their products.
"From our research, we found that many organic farmers don't have access to the market," Tantyo explained.
Kecipir.com enables farmers to sell their organic products directly to the customers. The farmers can get better prices as the site erases the role of middlemen.
Tantyo believes organic products have big potential in the country as more Indonesians give attention to healthy lifestyle.
"We hope young people will be encouraged to be farmers. They can thing that farming is cool job," he mentioned.

Different with other e-commerce sites, Kecipir.com does not offer ready stock products. The business scheme depends heavily on the harvest time.
It is the main challenge for Tantyo and his colleagues. Some farmers occasionally fail to manage the harvest well.
Tantyo stated that their current priority is to improve the market shares of organic products. After that, they will start to find investors.
