medcom.id, Jakarta: Google started Google for Mobile 2016 today at Sheraton Hotel Gandaria City. The event was attended by at least a thousand developers from Indonesia and abroad.
"Google for Mobile shows the commitment from Google in realizing President Joko Widodo's vision. We are committed to train 100 thousand mobile developers until 2020," said Google Indonesia's Head of Marketing Veronica Utami.
The event was attended by game and application developers. Participants could learn from many speakers from Asia Pacific region who shared their experiences on how to create high quality products.
Through this event, Google also urged developers to create applications that offer practical solutions without forgetting their ambition to go global.
Veronica added Google previously held Launchpad Accelerator program. Eight start-up companies were invited to Google headquarters at Mountain View. They also received USD50 thousand fund from the giant tech company.
The program was considered successful so that Google continued with the second batch of Launchpad Accelerator program in the beginning of this month.
