medcom.id, Jakarta: Instagram recently revamped its interface and introduced its new icon.
The reason behind the change is that the old icon no longer reflects the Instagram community. At least, that is the reason mentioned by Instagram's head of design, Ian Spalter in a blog post. "Our hope is that people will see this app icon as a new creative spark," said Spalter.
Unfortunately, not all Instagram users agree with Spalter. Many users dislike it and demand the return of the old icon.
They argue that the new icon is not as unique as the old one as they are unable to immediately recognise the Instagram icon.
"Hi @instagram, I know you would not care, but your new logo is sad, without character, unlike the first one," said twitter account @Rayafahreza.

However, some users have positive opinions on the new icon and user interface.
