Ellavie Ichlasa Amalia • 23 November 2015 16:39
medcom.id, Jakarta: The government has been trying to improve Indonesia's internet, as they blocked several sites spreading radicalism. However, another issue often faced in the Internet world is piracy.

The rise of pirated sites may cause loss to the entertainment industry. Therefore, at the beginning of August, the Creative Economy Board (BEKRAF) formed a Task Force of Music and Film Piracy (Anti-Piracy Task Force). Within the same month, 22 pirated movie sites have been shut down.

Nevertheless, films are not the only content often downloaded and uploaded illegally. Music is another content often pirated. Therefore, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics had also started to shut down pirated music sites. Currently, they have shut down 22 illegal websites on music piracy.
