medcom.id, Jakarta: From the name, you may guess that Ojekkoe is an online ojek service application like Go-Jek and Grab. However compared with the two giants, Ojekkoe is still in its infancy.
Ojekkoe was launched at the beginning of January 2016. In less than one month, the company has recruited almost 300 ojek drivers.
Different with its competitors, Ojekkoe does not apply profit sharing system. Ojekkoe drivers only need to pay Rp2,500 per day as a membership fee. "All income of the Drivers are fully theirs," mentioned Ojekkoe founder Katon Muchtar to Metrovnews.com.
Another difference from Ojekkoe is its drivers are allowed to take passengers directly on the road. Other applications need people to make online order. "We facilitate to take passenger on the road ," said Katon.
COjekkoe also offers several features such as school pick-up drop-off service, home tutoring service, as well as taxi service named TaxiKOE.
Katon admitted currently only small number of people who are using Ojekkoe. Therefore, he is focusing on introducing Ojekkoe to public through social media and spreading brochures.
Another issue faced by Katon is funding. "Capital, it is totally lacking in Ojekkoe. Aside from that, Ojekkoe only consist of fresh graduates," Katon stated.
When asked about Ojekkoe's strategy against competitors, Katon admitted he does not have any special strategy. "We are trying to provide the best service, both for drivers and consumers," said Katon.
Katon said he would like to develop Ojekkoe in cities outside Java, such as Pekanbaru, Padang and Palembang. His other target is to achieve 2,000 drivers in Jakarta before June.
