92 Boarding School Students in Kendal Contract Covid-19

Kendal: The Kendal Regency Health Agency announced on Thursday as many as 92 students from three Islamic boarding schools in Kendal Regency, Central Java Province tested positive for covid-19.
 
According to the government agency, as of Thursday, the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Kendal Regency has reached 1,026.
 
"44 people are from Darul Argom Islamic boarding school in Patean, 14 people are from Selamat modern Islamic boarding school in Kendal, while the remaining 34 people are from Roudlotul Ursyl Qur'an Islamic boarding school in Kertosari," Kendal Regency Health Agency Ferinando Rad Bonday said here on Thursday.
"To tackle the spread of covid-19, students from Darul Arqom dan Roudlotul Ursyl Qur'an are undergoing self-isolation at their school, while students from Selamat are undergoing self-quarantine at a hospital in Kendal," he added.
 
On Thursday afternoon, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 4,174 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 29,182.
 
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Wednesday noon to Thursday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries across Indonesia was up by 3,540 to 218,487.
 
Meanwhile, in the same period, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths in the country was up by 116 to 10,856.
