Indonesia Has Secured 225.9 Million Doses of Covid-19 Vaccines: Task Force

Jakarta: The Indonesian government has successfully secured hundreds of millions of doses of covid-19 vaccines from December 2020 to early September 2021, according to Indonesia's Covid-19 Handling Task Force.
 
On Wednesday, Indonesia received 500,000 doses of the AstraZeneca covid-19 vaccine from Australia.
 
"Overall, Indonesia has received 225.9 million doses of vaccines from various producers, either in bulk form or finished form," the Covid-19 Pandemic Task Force said here on Thursday.
 
The vaccines include 33 million doses Sinovac vaccine in finished form, 153.9 million doses of Sinovac vaccine in bulk form, 20 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine, 8 million doses of Moderna vaccine, 2.75 million doses of Pfizer vaccine, and 8.25 million doses of Sinopharm vaccine.
 
Australia has promised to send 2.5 million doses of covid-19 vaccine to Indonesia for 2021. 

Indonesia has received the first 500 thousand doses of AstraZeneca vaccine from Australia on September 2. 
 
There are still 1.5 million doses of covid-19 vaccine from Australia to be delivered in stages.
