Jakarta: The Jakarta Health Office's Disease Prevention and Control Division head Dwi Oktavia today said that the agency recorded 1,027 new covid-19 case in Jakarta Special Capital Region.
As of Tuesday, the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia's capital has reached 56,953.
"12,179 of them are still being treated or placed in isolation," the Jakarta Health Office official said here on Tuesday afternoon.
"Our testing rate us 72,395 persons per one million people," she added.
The Jakarta provincial government officially reimposed Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) on Monday. The policy aims to lower the covid-19 hospitalization rate in the capital of Indonesia.
According to Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, the PSBB measures will be implemented for two weeks. However, it could be extended if necessary.
