8 People Killed in Bogor Floods

Bandung: The West Java Regional Police recorded eight people died in floods and landslides in the Regency and City of Bogor.  In addition, authorities are currently searching for four people who are still missing.
 
West Java Regional Police spokesperson Commissioner Saptono Erlangga Waskitoroso explained that seven people is a resident of Bogor Regency.  While one more person is a resident of Tanah Sereal, Bogor City.
 
"The death’s are due to floods and landslides," said Erlangga in West Java Police Headquarters on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.

Moreover, the four people who are missing due to the floods and landslides are Sukajaya residents and one other person is a Jasinga resident.
 
"Allegedly missing due to the flow of water. While also from the data, there are 15 people who have been injured," he said.
 
Besides Bogor, floods also hit the area of ??West Bandung and Karawang.  A total of 7,762 houses were flooded.
 
"While houses damaged by floods reached 2,393 units," said Erlangga.
 
West Java Police Headquarters will also provide assistance to communities affected by floods and landslides. Assistance will soon be distributed to the victims.
 
Until now, continued Erlangga, there are still isolated villages in the Bogor region. One of them is in Kampung Cigudeg, Harkat Jaya Village, Sukajaya, Bogor.
 
"During the flash flood yesterday there was a bridge that was cut off, giving aid is still difficult," he said.
