Flash Flood Inundates 96 Houses in Banten's Lebak

Lebak: Flash flood inundated 96 homes in Cipanas, Lebak, Banten Province, as the Coberang and Cimanteung rivers overflowed their banks after persistent intense rains lashed since Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday morning.
 
"Luckily, no reports of casualties in the flooding were reported," Memed, a resident of Cipanas, stated here on Wednesday, May 13, 2020.
 
After the floodwaters subsided on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, the flood-affected residents returned to clean their houses.

"We are optimistic that those affected by flash floods can receive logistical assistance," he expounded.
 
Meanwhile, Head of the Lebak Disaster Mitigation Office (BPBD) Kaprawi stated that his office had readied logistical assistance for victims of the flash floods in Cipanas.
 
"We have deployed officers to check the condition of residents affected by flooding," he remarked.
 
Indonesia is currently transitioning from rainy to dry season. Nonetheless, several provinces, including East Java, West Java, Banten, and Aceh, continue to experience flooding. (antara)
