Jakarta: The Jakarta provincial government has revealed as many as 18 hotels in Jakarta will be turned into isolation sites for asymptomatic covid-19 patients.
"They are expected to accommodate 2,000 people," the Jakarta Health Agency's Public Health Division Head Fify Mulyani said here on Tuesday.
According to her, the Indonesian Ministry of Health will deploy health workers to the hotels, while the Jakarta provincial fovernment will deploy health workers to the Covid-19 Emergency Hospital and covid-19 referral hospitals in Indonesia's capital.
The hotels are, among others, Ibis Style in Mangga Dua area and U Stay in Mangga Besar area.
"The hotels will support seld-isolation flats at the Kemayoran Athletes Village," Fify stated.
On Monday, Jakarta provincial government announced that the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia's capital was up by 807 to 72,117.
