BNPB Continues Distributing Aid for Disaster Victims in NTT

Jakarta: The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) is committed to handling the impact of recent flash floods and landslides in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province.
 
As of Thursday, the government agency has distributed a wide range of humanitarian packages to the disaster-hit areas in the region.
 
According to BNPB spokesperson Radiya Jati, 50,000 cloth masks, 30,000 medical masks, 10,000 medical masks for children, 8 evacuation tents, and 504 mobile lamps will be flown from Jakarta to NTT today.

"BNPB will cooperate with various stakeholders to provide medical services and medicines," said the spokesman in a press release on Friday.
 
On Friday, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) paid a working visit to East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province to inspect post-disaster relief operation in the region.
 
Accompanied by several high-ranking officials and regional leaders, the President went to the disaster site in Amakaka Village, Ile Ape District, Lembata Regency.
 
For the record, the extreme weather caused by Seroja Tropical Cyclone has triggered flash floods and landslides in the provinces of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
