Bandung: West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil (Emil) plans to summon PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC) in relation to the recent oil pipeline fire in Cimahi.
He also plans to discuss the current progress and development of the high speed rail project which will connect Jakarta and Bandung.
“I will summon KCIC to respond to the public complaints I have received. We will urge them to prevent the same incident from happening again in the future," said Emil on Thursday, October 24, 2019/
Ridwan also urges KCIC to pay attention to the project’s standard operating procedure (SoP).
“I will urge them to pay careful attention to the project’s SoP given that this project is very awaited by the public. The construction must be carried out without causing fatal incidents,” said Emil.
Emil also plans to summon local officials relevant to the project. He ensured that there are no longer active oil pipelines around the construction site of the high-speed rail prohect. He revealed that PT Pertamina has developed new oil pipelines.
“PT Pertamina has reported that they have carried out preventive action and that its fuel supply to the city of Bandung is still safe even after this fire incident," said Emil. (Translator: Muhammad Gestinev)
