70% of Indonesians Have to be Vaccinated against Covid-19 by Year-End: Jokowi

Jakarta: President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has once again urged his subordinates to expedite the national covid-19 vaccination program this year.
 
"We hope that 70 percent of Indonesian can be vaccinated by the end of the year," said President Jokowi when inspecting a mass vaccination event in Bantul Regency on Friday.
 
According to the Head of State, as many as 8,000 people will receive covid-19 vaccine during the mass vaccination event.

"They consist of persons with diabilities, royal staff, elderly people, grab drivers and other groups," he stated.
 
After visiting the vaccination event, the Head of State is scheduled to provide directions to the DIY Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) which was held at the Kepatihan Danurejan Complex in Yogyakarta City.
 
After that, Jokowi is set to visit the Muhammadiyah Muallimin Madrasah in Yogyakarta to inaugurate a number of facilities and infrastructure in the Islamic school.
 
The Head of State arrived in Yogyakarta Province on Thursday after reviewing vaccinations and inaugurating dams in Wajo Regency, South Sulawesi.
