Jakarta: Tangerang Mayor Arief Wismansyah has said that the Tangerang city government is committed to continuously monitoring the implementation of covid-19 health protocols in industry areas in Jakarta's satellite city.
"We will monitor the implementation of health protocols there," the mayor said here on Wednesday.
In August, the Tangerang city government found three covid-19 clusters in industrial areas. To tackle the spread of Covid-19, local authorities decided to increase monitoring activities in industrial areas.
"We succeeded to tackle the clusters. The clusters were detected in August. We have improved our monitoring method," he explaied.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Indonesian Ministry of Health confirmed 3,307 new covid-19 case, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 203,342.
From Tuesday noon to Wednesday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries was up by 2,242 to 145,200. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths was up by 106 to 8,336.
