Jakarta: Accor Group has transformed some of its hotels in Jakarta Special Capital Region into isolation centers for asymptomatic coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) patients.
"We have prepared two hotels, namely Hotel Ibis Budget Daan Mogot and Ibis Style Mangga Dua," Adi Satria, Accor Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore's VP Sales Marketing Distribution and Loyalty, said here on Monday.
According to him, Hotel Ibis Budget Daan Mogot could provide 195 isolation rooms, while Ibis Style Mangga Dua could provide 311 isolation rooms.
"If more rooms are still needed, we may prepare 160 rooms at Ibis Jakarta Senen," he explained.
On Sunday, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 3,874 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 275,213.
Earlier this month, in a bid to lower the covid-19 hospitalization rate in Indonesia's capital, the Jakarta provincial government decided to reimpose Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in the province.
