Number of Covid-19 Patients in Jakarta's Emergency Hospital Rises to 2,625

Jakarta: The number of covid-19 patients in Athletes Village Emergency Hospital, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta increased from 2,549 to 2,625 on Friday.
 
According to the Joint Regional Defense Command I (Kogabwilhan I) Spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian, 1,432 covid-19 patients are receiving inpatient care at towers 6 and 7, while 1,192 covid-19 patients are undergoing self-isolation at towers 4 and 5.
 
Operated by the central government, towers 6 and 7 are used to accommodate covid-19 patients with mild to moderate symptoms, while towers 4 and 5 are used to house asymptomatic covid-19 patients.

"Towers 6 and 7 have accommodated 22,353 patients since March," said the spokesperson in a written statement issued on Friday morning.
 
"Meanwhile, towers 4 and 5 have accommodated 22,193 patients since September 15," he stated.
 
On Thursday, the National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 4,432 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 377,541.
