Jakarta: President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) today inaugurated Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Head Bahlil Lahadalia as Minister of Investment and Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim as Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
On the same day, the President also inaugurated Laksana Tri Handoko as the National Reseacrh and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Head and Indriyanto Seno Adji as a member of the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Those four figures will be inaugurated," Head of Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono said earlier today.
Previously, President Jokowi decided to merge the Ministry of Research and Technology with the Ministry of Education and Culture and transform the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) into the Ministry of Investment.
Before joining President Jokowi's Indonesia Onward Cabinet, Bahlil led the Indonesian Young Entrepeneurs Association from 2014 until 2019.
Meanwile, Nadiem was the founder of Indonesian tech firm Gojek.
