Covid-19 Task Force Announces 4,317 New Cases

Jakarta: The National Covid-19 Handling Task Force on Friday confirmed 4,317 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases across Indonesia to 295,499.
 
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Thursday noon to Friday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries in Indonesia was up by 2,853 to 221,340.
 
Meanwhile, in the same period, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths in the country was up by 116 to 10,972.

The Indonesian Government has announced that the implementation of micro-scale social restrictions in West Java province has brought positive impact to curb covid-19 virus transmission.
 
For that matter, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has ordered the regional governments to implement social restrictions in a smaller scale instead or only in areas where most coronavirus cases are identified
 
For the record, some regions in the country are implementing large scale social restrictions at a regency or a city level.
