Jakarta: The total number of recovered patients at the Kemayoran Atheletes Village Covid-19 Emergency Hospital in Central Jakarta has reached 12,328 since the opening of the health facility on March 23.
"270 people were transferred to other hospitals, five people died, while one patient escaped from the hospital," Joint Regional Defense Command I (Kogabwilhan-I) spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian said here on Friday.
As of Friday, the cumulative number of patients at the covid-19 emergency hospital has reached 14,454. As many as 1,660 patients are currently being treated at the facility. All of them are confirmed covid-19 patients.
"We do not have any suspected covid-19 patients today," the spokesperson stated.
The Jakarta provincial government will reintroduce Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) on September 14. The policy aims to decrease the covid-19 hospitalization rate in Indonesia's capital.
The Jakarta provincial government previously implemented PSBB for around two months from April to June. The regional government changed its policy to transitional PSBB in early June.
