28 Villages in Bogor Regency Experience Drought Conditions

Jakarta: The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) has revealed that a total of 28 villages in in Bogor Regency are experiencing drought conditions.
According to BNPB spokesperson Raditya Jati, the 28 villages are located in 11 areas, namely Jasinga, Citeureup, Cariu, Cigudeg, Klapanunggal, Jonggol, Tanjungsari, Rancabungur, Sukajaya, Ciampea, and Nanggung.
"The drought conditions affected 10,613 families," The BNPB official said in a press release on Wednesday.

To tackle the impacts of drought conditions, the Rapid Response Team (TRC) of the Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) of Bogor Regency has taken a number of measures, namely carrying out rapid assessments, strenghtening collaborations with relevant agencies and distributing clean water to affected areas.
Meanwhile, according to weather and season forecasts from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the dry season in most parts of Indonesia can still last until October, especially in most parts of Java Island.
