Jakarta Regional Secretary Saefullah Dies from Covid-19

Jakarta: Jakarta Regional Secretary Saefullah passed away Wednesday after after suffering from covid-19 for weeks.
 
According to Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, Saefullah passed away this afternoon at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital (RSPAD Gatot Soebroto) in Central Jakarta
 
"Bapak Saefullah passed away at 12.55 Western Indonesia Time (WIB)," the Jakarta governor said in a written statement on Wednesday afternoon.

"Let's pray for the deceased," the former education minister added.
 
The Jakarta provincial government officially reimposed Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) on Monday. The policy aims to lower the covid-19 hospitalization rate in the capital of Indonesia.
 
Jakarta previously implemented PSBB measures for around two months from April to June. The local government changed its policy into Transitional PSBB in early June.
