Jakarta: The National Covid-19 Task Force on Monday announced 3,141 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 221,523.
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries increased by 3,395 to 158,405 from Sunday noon to Monday noon. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths rose by 118 to 8,841 in the past 24 hours.
Last week, Preident Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had video call with Rika Susi Waty, a teacher from West Sumatra capital of Padang.
According to the president, teachers should motivate students to keep their spirit alive to study amid the ongoing covid-19 pandemic.
Rika, who teaches mathematic at 7 Padang Junior High State School, told the President that the online teaching and learning process had run quite well despite several difficulties.
However, Rika said that the school had provided assistance for the students by giving permission to use school facilities, such as computers, for online learning.
