Tangerang: The Tangerang regency government has transformed Hotel Yasmin in Curug area into an isolation site for asymptomatic coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) patients.
According to Tangerang Regent Zaki Iskandar, as many as 240 isolation rooms will be available in mid-September.
"Hotel Yasmin will be used as an isolation site for asymptomatic covid-9 patients. Hopefully, it can be operational soon. It is expected to be operational on September 17," the Tangerang regent said here on Friday.
"If the number of covid-19 cases increases in Tangerang, we could utilize the 240 isolation rooms here," he stated.
On Friday afternoon, the Indonesian Ministry of Health announced 3,737 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 210,940.
From Thursday noon to Friday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries was up by 2,707 to 150,217. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths was up by 88 to 8,544.
