39,774 Specimens Examined Today: Covid-19 Task Force

Jakarta: As many as 343 laboratorium conducted tests involving 39,774 specimens in the past 24 hours, according to the National Covid-19 Task Force.
 
"The number of specimens  is 39,744 today," the National Covid-19 Task Force spokesperson Wiku Adisasmito said here on Wednesday.
 
Since the beginning of the covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia, 2,755,120 specimens have been examined by the government. Besides polymerase chain reaction PCR tests, the government also conducts rapid molecular tests.

On Wednesday afternoon, the National Covid-19 Task Force confirmed 3,963 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases across Indonesia to 228,993.
 
From Tuesday noon to Wednesday noon, the total number of confirmed covid-19 recoveries was up by 3,036 to 164,101. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed covid-19 deaths was up by 135 to 9,100.
 
"The total number of confirmed covid-19 cases is 228,993," Wiku said.
