Jakarta: Joint Regional Defense Command Spokesperson Marine Colonel Aris Mudian has reported that the Atheletes Village Emergency Hospital currently accommodates as many as 2,540 covid-19 patients.
Operated by the central government, towers 6 and 7 of the Kemayoran Athletes Village are used to provide inpatient care for covid-19 patients with mild to moderate cases, while towers 4 and 5 of the building complex are used to house covid-19 patients with no symptoms.
According to the spokesperson, towers 6 and 7 currently accommodate 1,416 covid-19 patients with mild to moderate symptoms, down by 71 patients compared to the previous day.
"Towers 6 and 7 has accommodated a total of 22,054 people since March," said the spokesman said here on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, towers 4 and 5 currently accommodate 1,124 asymptomatic covid-19 patients, increasing by 10 patients compared to the previous day.
"Towers 4 and 5 has accommodates a total of 10,185 people since September 15," the military official explained.
On Monday, The National Covid-19 Handling Task Force reported that the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases across Indonesia increased by 3,373 to 365,240.
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, in the past 24 hours, the total number of recovered covid-19 patients in the country was up by 3,919 to 289,243.
In addition, in the same period, Indonesia's official covid-19 death toll rose by 106 to 12,617.
