Jokowi Inspects Earthquake-Damaged Buildings in West Sulawesi

Jakarta: President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inspected the earthquake-damaged West Sulawesi Governor's Offifce after he arrived in West Sulawesi Province this afternoon.
 
During the visit, President Jokowi was accompanied by Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, West Sulawesi Governor Andi Ali Baal Masdar and West Governor Regional Secretary Muhammad Idris.
 
Before inspecting the West Sulawesi Governor's Office, the president visited an evacucation shelter in Majene Regency.

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 occurred in West Sulawesi Province on Friday at 1.28 Western Indonesia Time (WIB). 
 
The epicenter was located at 2.98 South Latitude and 118.94 East Longitude or 6 kilometers northeast of Majene Regency.
 
According to reports, Majene and Mamuju regencies experienced the most damage.
