Bung Karno Library Temporarily Closed Down over Coronavirus

Blitar: A library inside the burial complex of Soekarno, the first president of Indonesia, was temporarily closed down after several staff tested positive for coronavirus.
 
Soekarno's grave is located in Blitar City in East Java Province. A mausoleum complex was built by the Indonesian government in 1979. It normally receives hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.
 
"We want to prevent new clusters," said Yanti Sukmarini, the Head of National Libray Unit of Blitar City, here on Wednesday. 

Besides the Bung Karno Library, the management also decided to close the Bung Karno Musem inside the complex.
 
Indonesia's Covid-19 Handling Task Force reported 6,725 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country to 636,154.
 
From Tuesday noon until Wednesday noon, the total number of recovered coronavirus patients across Indonesia was up by 5,328 to 521,984.
 
In the same period, the country's official covid-19 death toll rose by 137 to 19,248.
