Floods Inundate 49 Neighborhood Units in Jakarta

Jakarta: The Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency of Jakarta Special Capital Region (BPBD DKI) today said several areas in Indonesia's capital are still inundated by flood water.
 
As of 06.00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB), as many as 49 neighborhood units are still inundated with various water levels.
 
The 49 neighborhood units are located in East Jakarta (23), West Jakarta (14), South Jakarta (10), Central Jakarta (1), and North Jakarta (1)

"Around 15 people have been forced to flee their home," said BPBD DKI's Disaster Data and Information Center Head M Insyaf in a written statement on Tuesday morning.
 
According to weather and season forecasts from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the dry season in most parts of Indonesia can still last until October, especially in most parts of Java Island.
 
Meanwhile, the rainy season in Indonesia will start gradually at the end of October, especially in the western part of Indonesia.
