Jakarta: Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim was asked to evaluate various challenges that is faced by the education sector.
The House of Representatives (DPR) member Ferdiansyah said that the Go-Jek founder must immediately understand the country's bureaucratic system.
"Second, reviewing rules and regulations, including competency tests," DPR Commission X member Ferdiansyah, told Medcom.id, Jakarta, Monday, October 28, 2019.
Ferdi said the country's education staff have not been given enough competency tests such as the social competency test and personality test. Nadiem was also asked to invite stakeholders to help solve the challenges.
“Do the simpler ones first but the benefits are great for the community,” the Functional Groups (Golkar) Party explained.
The Directorate General of Higher Education Dikti) has returned to the Ministry of Education and Culture. Ferdi also hopes that Nadiem can solve problems that hinder the country's higher education sector.
"Talking about numerous challenges. We haven’t even started discussing the issues regarding teachers and lecturers, teacher distribution, rehabilitation of schools. There are still so many issues," he explained.
