Jakarta Plans to Deploy More Forest Fires Task Force Personnel

Jakarta: The Jakarta provincial administration plans to add the number of personnel of its forest and land fires task force (Satgas). The task force is planned to focus on the Central Kalimantan region.
 
"We are preparing the possibility of 15 to 20 (personnel)," Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) head Subejo said at the Monas square, Central Jakarta on Thursday, September 26, 2019.
 
Subejo revealed that the task force would be tasked with preparing Oxygen Homes and Oxygen Schools. It is expected to help the activities of the local community.
 
Meanwhile, the task force that had been sent to Jambi is still focused on putting out the fire. Subejo said the task force's working period could be extended in the future.
 
"The end of the month (September) is the evaluation time," he said.
 
The task force is under the coordination of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).The team  are expected to take care of their health while on duty, considering that the air condition in the field could endanger health.
