Jakarta: The administration of a booster dose of covid-19 vaccine for healthcare personnel in Indonesia keeps on increasing.
More than 816 thousand medical personnel has received booster vaccine.
"It has reached 55,61 percent or 816,766 people," the Ministry of Health stated on its official website on Thursday.
According to the Ministry, the vaccination target is 1,468.764 people. Third dose is given to healthcare personnel who have received their first and second dose.
The policy is based on Circulating Letter of General Director of Disease Prevention and Control Number: HK.02.01/1/1919/2021. The Indonesian Government forbids those outside the healthcare personnel group to receive the third dose.
The Moderna vaccine used as the booster is the mRNA-1273. The administration will be done intramuscularly, 0.5 ml per dosage. (Translator: Natasha Celia)
