Dutch Royal Couple Visit Yogyakarta Palace

Yogyakarta: Ducth King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima today visited the Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat palace complex to meet with Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X and Ratu Hemas of Yogyakarta.
 
Arriving at around 10.50 a.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB), they were greeted by four Yogyakarta Sultanate princesses, Gusti Kanjeng Ratu (GKR) Mangkubumi, GKR Bendoro, GKR Maduretno, and GKR Condrokirono at one of the gates of the palace complex.
 
After that, the royal couple were welcomed by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X and Ratu Hemas at Donopratopo Gate.

Besides the Palace, the Ducth royal couple will also visit Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and Cyber Village," Indonesian Ambassador to the Netherlands I Gusti Agung Wisaka Puja told reporters during the visit.
 
"The Dutch King wanted to visit Yogyakarta. He wanted to meet with Yogyakarta King," the Indonesian diplomat added.
 
During the visit, the King and Queen had a short discussion with their Yogyakarta counterparts. They then watched a Beksan Kawung Agung art performance at Kencana Hall. The visit was concluded with a luncheon at Manis Hall.
