Jakarta: As many as 98 hospitals have been turned into referral hospitals to treat covid-19 patients in Indonesia's capital.
According to reports, eight hospitals were turned into covid-19 referral hospitals by the Indonesian Ministry of Health, while the remaining 90 hospitals were turned into covid-19 referral hospitals by the Jakarta provincial government.
"This Governor's Decree shall come into force as of the date of its promulgation," the Governor's Decree Number 987 Year 2020 reads.
The Governor's Decree Number 987 Year 2020 was signed on September 28. It replaced the Governor's Decree Number 378 on the Establishment of Covid-19 Referral Hospitals.
On Monday, The National Covid-19 Handling Task Force confirmed 3,622 new covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed covid-19 cases in Indonesia to 307,120.
Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, from Sunday noon to Monday noon, the total number of recovered covid-19 patients across Indonesia was up by 4,140 to 232,593.
Meanwhile, in the same period, the official covid-19 death toll in the country rose by 102 to 11,253.
