Jakarta: Deputy of Human Resources Apparatus of the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN-RB) Setiawan Wangsaatmadja ensures a deeper portion in the national insight test for prospective civil servants (CPNS). This is to prevent radicalism from entering the ranks of the state civil apparatus (ASN).
"At least around 60 percent of the total questions. But the selection committee will decide," said Setiawan at the Office of KemenPAN-RB, South Jakarta on Wednesday, 30 October 2019.
Setiawan said the questions that will be tested will be adjusted according to the issues that are currently developing. Thus, structurally the questions in future CPNS tests will certainly not be the same.
"We formulate the questions annually according to ASN’s vision and mission and that will be expressed in the questions," Setiawan said.
Previously, the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB) Tjahjo Kumolo asserted that the national insight test was mandatory for participants because it contains material on the ideology of Pancasila. The test is considered important to prevent radical understanding from spreading in government agencies.
"In addition to going through CPNS, those who pass the entire selection process will also take part in the pre-service. The career placement process will include monitoring and prevention of radicalism," Tjahjo said.
A total of 152 thousand vacancies both in the central and regional government levels are ready to be contested by prospective CPNS 2019 participants. Registration begins on the 11-24 November 2019. The committee plans for Basic Competency Selection (SKD) to be held no later than February 2020.
Meanwhile, the Field Competency Selection (SKB) is planned to start in early March 2020. While the announcement of graduation at the earliest in April 2020.
