Jokowi Inspects Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway Project

Jakarta: President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) today inspected the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway project during his visit to West Java Province.
 
According to the President, the progress of the mega project has reahed around 73 percent.
 
"The Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway is espected to begin trials in the end of 2022," said President Jokowi in Bekasi on Monday.

During his visit, the former Jakarta governor was accompanied by Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjairan and Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Xiao Qian.
 
"If the railway is extended until Surabaya, we hope our human resources are ready," the President stated.
 
"They can gather experience from this Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway project," he added.
