Jakarta: President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) decided to reshuffle the Kabinet Indonesia Maju (KIM). There are six seats for the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin ministers who were replaced.
The six presidential assistants will be sworn in tomorrow. "The inauguration will be held tomorrow morning (Wednesday, December 23, 2020)," said Jokowi at the Presidential Palace, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
The figure of the six new ministers was introduced by Jokowi at the State Palace. First, Jokowi appointed the former Mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini (Risma) as Minister of Social Affairs Risma replaces Juliari P Batubara who was caught in the Covid-19 social assistance corruption case.
Second, the former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Sandiaga Uno was appointed as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy. Sandi replaces Wishnutama Kusubandio.
While Budi Gunadi Sadikin was elected as Minister of Health replacing Terawan Agus Putranto. Budi previously served as Deputy Minister for State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
The voices of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) represented by Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, whom was appointed as Minister of Religion. The chairman of Ansor Youth Movement replaces Fachrul Razi.
Sakti Wahyu Trenggono appointed by Jokowi as Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. Sakti replaces Edhy Prabowo who is caught in the lobster seed export case. Wahyu previously served as Deputy Minister of Defense.
Finally, M Lutfi became the Minister of Trade. He will be replacing Agus Suparmanto, who had only served at the post for a year.
